Today we're diving deeper into the Mission behind our Waves of Change Movement!

Why this matters
Broward County has some of the highest drowning rates in Florida, especially among children and underserved communities. Our mission is to move families from fear ➝ confidence, and make sure every child and adult feels safe in the water, pools and the Ocean.
How you can help
Please spread the word! If you know:
• A school
• A church
• A community center
• A nonprofit or organization
• ANY group with access to a pool
that might want to get involved, send them our way or message us! Every connection helps us save lives and create confident swimmers.

How we're doing it
We’re partnering with schools, churches, nonprofits, community groups, and organizations with pools to bring swim lessons directly to where the community already gathers. Small impact × many partners = BIG change

This Event marks the official kickoff of the 50 x 50 New Swimmers Commitment: 50 organizations, each committing to bring forward 50 new swimmers this year.
Together, we are positioning Broward County as the model for what’s possible when communities move beyond fear-based frameworks and into thriving, empowered relationships with every body of water — pools, oceans, lakes, and beyond.
